Great news! Spiral Spine will host two scoliosis workshops this summer in Nashville and Minneapolis. This will be the first scoli workshop I’ve conducted in Nashville and the second workshop I’ve done in Minneapolis.

The Nashville workshop will take place on Saturday, June 27, from noon to 2 p.m. at Marathon Pilates, located at 2907 12th Ave. South. Pre-registration is required here.

The Minneapolis workshop will take place on Tuesday, July 28, from noon to 2 p.m. at Awaken Pilates, located at 2937 Lyndale Avenue South (thanks for having me back!). Pre-registration is required here.

Whether you’re an instructor with scoliosis clients, a parent of a child with scoliosis or have scoliosis yourself, these workshops will teach you how to diagram a scoliotic body and assess pelvic and spinal alignment. You’ll then be able to use that newly acquired knowledge to create effective, core-strengthening exercises to help better manage your own scoliosis or someone else’s. Oh, and prepare for a good workout too, as we’ll try these exercises together, learning how to modify them as needed.

Because every body is different, the key to understanding scoliosis is learning how to break down and analyze the scoliotic body in front of you. It truly is possible to create an intense workout for someone with scoliosis, while improving the functionality of the spine.
