Scoliosis Movement Specialist Certificate Program Director | Scoliosis Educator | Instructor | Virtual Instructor
Jennifer Stark is a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher, Certified Integrated Movement Specialist, Certified Kinesiology Taping Practitioner, and Mental Wellbeing Association Certified Fitness Professional.
A lifelong mover, Jennifer grew up dancing and twirling batons—despite having scoliosis. Years later, she discovered Pilates through Erin Myers and experienced firsthand how mindful movement could restore balance, relieve pain, and transform the body. Today, her scoliosis is barely noticeable—a testament to the healing potential of intentional exercise.
Her own transformation inspired her to help others find the same empowerment, resilience, and freedom in movement that she discovered. Jennifer completed her comprehensive training through Balanced Body at Spiral Spine, where she now teaches and collaborates with Erin on scoliosis education initiatives such as Analyzing Scoliosis, I Have Scoliosis; Now What?, the Scoliosis Retreat, and the Scoliosis Movement Specialist Certificate Program.
Passionate about making scoliosis movement science accessible, she writes blogs based on research and leads Virtual Scoliosis Research Seminars to educate and empower the scoliosis community.* Read her research-based blogs here.
Before her Pilates career, Jennifer earned degrees in English and History from Tennessee Wesleyan University and taught in private education, specializing in tailoring curriculum to students with learning differences and helping students with sensory regulation—an experience that continues to inform her compassionate and personalized approach to teaching movement.
